Cris Jacobs, Patrick Mcavinue, and Ed Hough are three of Baltimore’s finest musicians, songwriters, and pickers. Each are capable bandleaders who have had plenty of accolades on their own, but come together to create a synergistic blend of roots and Americana music that is truly unique. Jacobs has been a Baltimore music staple over the last 20 years, from his time leading roots/jam favorites The Bridge, to an illustrious solo career that has had him share the stage and collaborate with such artists as Sturgill Simpson, Steve Winwood, Ivan Neville, Phil Lesh, Greensky Bluegrass, the Blind Boys of Alabama, and many more. Mcavinue recently won IBMA fiddle player of the year, and along with his own solo records, has recorded and toured with national bluegrass artists Dailey and Vincent as well as Audie Blaylock and Redline. Drummer, singer, songwriter, and guitarist Ed Hough fronted the Baltimore bluegrass band Smooth Kentucky (featuring Jacobs snd Mcavinue) since 2001. Together, these three musical powerhouses create their own soulful blend of bluegrass, Americana, and rock n roll, with soaring harmonies, dazzling picking, and crafty songwriting.
